Mission Bridge Rehabilitation Update – Crosswalk Closure at 4th St / Water Main Extension

Temporary Crosswalk Closures at 4 Street S.W. Intersection
From Monday, August 25 to Monday, September 1, the northwest corner of the Mission Bridge intersection at 4 Street S.W. and Elbow Drive S.W. will be temporarily closed for pedestrians. This closure is for the north crosswalk of the intersection and does not affect vehicle traffic. The temporary closure of the west and south crosswalk at this intersection remains in effect.

Please be sure to follow all posted construction and detour signage in the area for your safety and that of construction crews.
Project Update: Water Main Extension
You’ve probably noticed water main work is underway now in the area of Rideau Road and 30 Avenue S.W. Currently, work is on schedule but this may change in the event of inclement weather, complexity, supply chain, and/or other unexpected circumstances. For people living near the water main work, you will have already received or will soon be receiving construction notices, delivered to your door by our contractor, North Star. These notices will let you know what to expect in terms of temporary water or other construction impacts which are expected to remain minimal.
