Come and see the new community plaque and pedestal!

Our new commemorative plaque was “unveiled” on Wednesday, September 23rd.  It has been mounted on the concrete pedestal in the garden at 4th Street and 30th Avenue.  The rather unsightly bare pedestal has now been beautifully transformed by our own resident Ida Heron.  Ida has created graphic designs on each side of the pedestal to reflect elements of our neigbourhood – skating rink, trees, tennis court, river among other things.  It is truly a great work of art and so meaningful for our neighbourhood.  Thank-you Ida (and co-pilot Don Heron!) for your talent and time! Our thanks to all community residents who came out to celebrate this event.
